Site Engineer — Solar Ground Mount
10 yearThe Site Engineer supervises day-to-day construction and installation activities at ground-mounted solar project sites across Gujarat. You will be the on-ground technical lead ensuring quality execution of civil, structural, and electrical works per approved drawings and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil foundation works, module mounting structure erection, and solar panel installation at ground-mounted project sites ranging from 1 MW to 10+ MW
- Ensure installation quality by verifying torque values, cable routing, earthing connections, and junction box terminations against approved electrical drawings
- Coordinate daily labour and material deployment with the Project Manager; maintain progress logs, material consumption records, and daily site diaries
- Conduct routine safety inspections and enforce compliance with CEA safety regulations, MNRE guidelines, and internal EHS protocols at the project site
Requirements
- ITI (Electrician trade) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institute
- Minimum 1 year of on-site experience in solar EPC construction; ground-mounted project exposure preferred
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, module layout drawings, and structural GA drawings
- Basic knowledge of DC and AC electrical systems, cable sizing, and earthing standards applicable to solar plants
